Rion Dugan was dubbed The Prince of Romance by a San Francisco Chronicle columnist who participated in Rion’s “50 Romantic & Unusual Things To Do in the Bay Area” workshop — and loved it. Rion is a former deputy marriage commissioner for San Francisco. Since 1989, he has performed hundreds of weddings and commitment ceremonies for straight, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered couples, one of which was an all-male ménage a trois. (Well, he does live in San Francisco …) He presents popular workshops on romantic and unusual things to do, increasing the romance in your relationship, what romance really is, increasing self-esteem and effective communication in relationships. He’s now designing several new workshops including one focused on planning the perfect romantic event, from first blush through first kiss to … well, again, he does live in San Francisco.
